UPenn GSE PhD updates?

Hi all,

I'm wondering whether anyone has received any update from the PhD programs in UPenn GSE. I applied for the reading/writing/literacy program and have yet to receive interview or other notifications so far. Does this mean I have been rejected?

Hi LilyKitty,

Doctoral weekend started today. I applied to the same program as you. I’ve read that if you don’t an interview invite the likelihood of acceptance is minimal, but you aren’t out of the woods yet. They might not have liked anyone they interviewed or they may offer you acceptance to the masters program instead.

Thank you Anthony for the important information! Yeah I can expect rejection but it’s fine for me to just wait to see the specific final decision coming out. Also, could you please share with me your GRE scores? (If you’re willing to do so) I sort of fee that mine were far from competitive and I may set a goal for my next round application with reference to successful applicants like you:).

Also, if you know, could you please share how many applicants are invited to the interview in the RWL program? Thank you!

I think there were about 6 of us there. Most PhD and I think 1 or 2 EdD.
