Hey,

I'm interested in virology and want to stay in academia. I've offers from Scripps in Florida (not the CA one) and UTMB, Galveston. Which would be better for grad training in virology? Which is more prominent/reputable? Additionally, can you transfer between Scripps campuses?

Thanks!

Congrats on getting an admissions from UTMB! Any Uni will be good at training you in what you need to learn, what is most important is how you feel you will fit into the environment. If one school is considered better, it won't matter if you hate your time there. Your mentor is what's most important in your success and if you feel you already have a good mentor lined up at one institution, that is most likely the better option for you.
