Applied for PhD but portal changed to say Master's...?

Hello I applied to a PhD program without a Master's degree, but the program separately offers a Master's, which I thought I could obtain on track to the PhD. The PhD program does not require a Master's for admission. The portal initially said that I submitted my application to the PhD program, but now it changed to say that I submitted it to the Master's (I didn't). What do you think is going on here - I was rejected from PhD and put into Master's pool?

I think none of us can know. You would have to contact the department and ask them.

Oh I totally get it!! The frantic panic is real LOL. I am dealing with it as well right now!! Good luck with the process
