I know this topic has probably been talked to death before however I just wanted to get peoples opinion about my case...
I went to a top 50 ranked school in undergrad during freshman year, however it quickly declined to around 110 by the time i graduated, and had a decent GPA, sub 3's. One of the reasons it was so low was because of a huge depression cycle I spun into, however i graduated on-time after moving my grad date up earlier after i took a semester off. After graduating i started my own small food related business which failed, and it took my a very long time (2 years) to find a full time position at a very small food related company. This position had the potential to be high level when i started in the role and i quickly progressed my role in the company as well as helped bring it to a medium sized business. When i started out we had two streams of revenue bringing in >1million a year, i added two more streams of revenue and increased the revenue from >1mil coastal business to 25 million national-brand in five years. My goal is to get into a top MBA/MPA program at Harvard or Stern. I am currently 28 years old so will be applying when I am 29.
