I really hope they realize how unhelpful "the next few days" is... especially since they've been saying this for about 2 weeks now.. just adds to the stress

yes... especially considering that its so close to the weekend and it's very possible that "a few days" could mean this week or next week ?

Fingers cross that we hear back today!

Just received an email being invited to the second look with two labs. Not sure how many people will get cut. From what one of my interviewers told me, a second look invitation means a very high chance of being accepted.

Was this official? Or from a PI?

Congrats! Was this an official email from the BME team?

Pity, didn't receive anything myself :( . Well, just how the cookie crumbles I guess. Good luck to everyone else.

I got an email from BMEPhDRecruit about meeting with two PIs until Friday, March 4 to be considered as a direct match candidate for these labs.

It says "The purpose of these interactions is to give you an opportunity to get to know more about the lab’s research, people, culture, and environment to help you determine whether that lab is a good fit for you"

But from the email, I say personally that there is a second round of interviews! This one seems more like me meeting the supervisor in a lab meeting setting.

What do u think, friends?

It was official, from the same BMEPhDRecruit email that sent out the initial interview invitations.

I think. base on “Meeting with these faculty or their lab members should take place no later than Friday, March 4”, their official offer letters should come around March 15th!!!

I also ended up getting an email around 7:30 Friday night. In terms of my track I had listed the translational cell and tissue engineering. But I'm not sure that matters all that much for direct match candidates as it does for rotation students.

They wrote this to me: "After the second look visits are complete, we expect that it will take roughly two weeks to process the final decisions. We hope to have final offers out around 3/14."

Hopefully it comes out on the 14th and not another week past that. I'm so excited and nervous!

Why do you think Hopkins worth this much of patience and stress? I am sure you have other offers! I do have several offers from USC, UCLA, and Purdue!! Hopkins is just making the process harder and harder and I don't know why students should wait too long!

Hi everyone, I hope you're all happy and satisfied with your results and have decided which offers to accept :) I'm mostly between Cornell and UPenn at the moment but it's difficult to compare them. In terms of research group, location and weather, UPenn is my top choice. However, it seems that (at least in Europe where I'm coming from) UPenn is less recognised and I was wondering whether it's the same within the US too. Many thanks!
