Yale MAR Reapplicant

Hi! This is pretty specific and not sure if anyone can even give any info on this, but mostly I'm just here to vent and see if anyone else is going through this too... I was placed on the waitlist for Yale MARc (Theology) for the 2021 application cycle, and I was ready to apply again for the 2022 cycle. It looks like Yale is requiring reapplicants to wait 2 academic years before applying again.  I'm pretty bummed about this since I was placed on the waitlist last cycle and I was hoping to get some good news this time around, but now it seems I can't even apply. Anyone else going through this too? I don't know if any advice can be given for this, it seems like it's just the way it is.

I would definitely email their office. 

But I also want to ask, why just Yale? Why not some other schools?
