Yup!!! I am not sure if all of today's acceptances are out by now or if they just release them in smaller batches though...

They only send out one batch offer last year  Hope I am wrong....

Yeah. They did send all acceptances on January 26 last year but we don't know if they were sent out at the same time. Also, there are just 4 acceptance posts so far on the main GradCafe page...

Well, I guess it's over folks... I knew I didn't stand a chance of getting in but up until now I was hoping for a miracle. I guess I'll never get accepted at a top program since getting research experience in my country is something virtually impossible. ?

There page does say everyone will be notified by mid February. I hope they don't leave us hanging like some schools do.

Where did you see that? All I see is "You can log into this web site in early March to see our admissions decision" in the application portal.

I had an interview with a professor at MIT yesterday (for ML/theory) and was told I would hear back soon, so I'm guessing there's still some applicants under consideration?

Yeah, I think that's a reasonable assumption. It would be a waste of everyone's time to conduct interviews if all decisions were made.

Just out of curiosity, how much does GPA matter?
 

I'm 3.2/4 with one good publication and experience.

I figured what's the harm in trying, don't want to be thinking 'what if'.

It does matter but I think the most important aspect of your application is research experience. I have a 9.9/10 GPA and 3 great LORs but unfortunately no research experience. ☹️

Yeah, me neither. I think it's pretty much over by now. We just wait for waitlist/rejection emails. I guess rejections won't be out until March though. ?

It's almost over Guys! 

I applied to both MIT MAS and EECS.

Don't wait for miracles. I am an International applicant with decent GPA and strong research background, has 3 strong LORs from IEEE Senior Members. It's pin drop silence for me. I consider it now as "It's over!".

I've got a mail saying that the review process for EECS phd is still active and ongoing, but I haven't received a mail of acceptance or waitlist, can we expect anything or is it just rejection next

Did you contact the department or did they send the mail without any inquiry?
