please help me..

i have done my B.E. Chemical Engineering from Mumbai University, India . I am really interested in doing my masters in PE.

I am the topper of my batch gpa 3.82/4.0

I have done one research project. .I have recieved merit scholarships for academic excellence.

what do most universities ( stanford, austin..etc) look for for their masters program?

what could i do to have a more competitive profile?

is doing a reputed Masters chemical engg. program ,with maybe relevant internship, still make me eligible for a MS PE.

please help me.
