I'm in the LBJ School right now, the first waves of acceptance last year were issued late February, so hang in there a tad longer.  Additionally, the admissions office has undergone some staff changes so I wouldn't be surprised if they issues decisions a little bit later than other schools.

Good luck, I hope to see you in Austin!

I Applied and was accepted last year but decided to not enroll last minute because of anxiety around the delta surge and the masking policy at UT, so I reapplied for this year. My letter was dated Feb 25. I expect the same this year. Last year I remember there was a delay for notifications because of the winter storm. Hopefully we hear back sooner

My status was just updated to 'Your file has been forwarded to the Graduate Committee for review.' Does this mean responses should come soon or do we think they will take until early March?

No, I don't think so. Mine has said that same thing since I applied in December.

Has anyone heard anything from the university yet? I emailed the admission office in early Feb saying the decisions would be sent out last week or a little after, but i still haven't heard from them.

Heard they're behind because there is only two staff members in the office due to maternity leave. Hopefully we hear back soon.

When did you all turn in your applications? Have not heard anything back.

I applied before the first Dec 1st deadline.

Also got the admission letter for the MGPS at Austin today but said my admission is pending final approval by the Vice Provost and the Dean of graduate studies. I applied before the Dec. 1 deadline. No mention of funding   .

I got my funding today! 75%. Combined with another bit of money I already had from AmeriCorps, my tuition is paid for! Now I just have to figure out how to buy groceries and gas ha.

Congrats! I also just got the same offer: 75% off non-resident tuition plus my AmeriCorps scholarship.

I turned in my application past the December 1st deadline, so still waiting. Congrats yall!!! Will you be attending?

For some reason most of the other schools I applied to haven't sent anything back to me, so I'm still waiting a bit longer. In lieu of another great offer coming along though I think I'll take it!

For those who are getting news back, what programs did you apply to? I haven't heard a word on my MPAF application that I submitted on Dec. 1st.

I applied to the MPAff at UT Austin on Dec 1st and have now heard back, but I'm not sure how typical I am. They might just be late in releasing all of the results.

@Cole_Wilson I applied for MPaff, non-DC track, with all my materials being turned in on November 30. On that day, MyStatus said "Your file has been forwarded to the graduate committee for review." I got my acceptance letter last Thursday.

I also applied before the Dec.1st deadline probably in mid November and still haven't heard back from them. I am still just reported as in review on the my status page. I was checking grad cafe from 2021 MPAff and it seemed that people had received decisions from the Feb. 26th all through march 5th and even later. So I guess we keep waiting?

I've decided to accept my admission to LBJ. Anyone else here going? Also, I've read that people "negotiate" their fellowships ... I can't decide if that sounds like a good idea or an absolutely terrible idea. I feel like 75% tuition is already stealing lol. Anyone have experience with negotiation?

@isalilypeter I feel you. I'll note that the deadline to accept an offer of admission is April 15. Maybe they'll be letting people in all the way up until then, depending on how many people accept. Plus, I've definitely read that even the first wave of admissions for LBJ can be a week or a week and a half.
