University of Washington Evans MPA 2022

Recommended Posts

  • ScrumptiousPups changed the title to University of Washington Evans MPA 2022

Thanks for creating this thread! I'm also waiting, and based on last year's posts I guess the decisions could get out as early as tomorrow or maybe next week? I've applied to 4 MPA/MPP programs and haven't heard back from any of them so far. The wait is so long and I'm getting really anxious.. Hope we both get good results (with ample funding, hopefully)

Edit : Oh wow some people already heard back, I didn't notice. I'm getting even more anxious...

I've got a question, the Admissions FAQ says that there should be a "Date Received" column under "Tests" section but my application status does not show a "Date Received" column. It only looks like the below image. Could it be that the admissions office is having trouble matching my self-reported scores with the official scores, and that is what might be delaying the decision? Could anybody help?

Have you emailed admissions about this? evansadm@uw.edu

I was accepted yesterday! For reference, I am an out of state student and I submitted my application on Jan 15.

Congratulations!!! Man... I applied on December 1st, ha. It'd be nice if they sent out notifications in the order that the applications were received.... the "round" format that other schools use makes more sense in that way. What policy areas are you interested in?

Thank you for helping out! Anyhow, I got the acceptance letter about six hours ago. Sadly, it does not include a funding offer.... and I'd have to give a long thought about it. I applied on 29th of December, and I'm an international applicant. Maybe they're going backwards. Hope this helps and good luck!

Congratulations! I hope that means I get a letter tomorrow! Where else have you applied / been accepted to?

I applied to Yale Jackson, Michigan Ford, and Georgetown McCourt.. all pending. I have a tight budget so I hope one or some of them will be more generous than Evans.

And how about you? Which school is your top priority? I didn't apply to Harris because math is not one of my strengths, but I know that many would choose Harris over Evans .... It's a good thing you're waiting with such a good card in your hands!

I applied to Evans, Goldman (Berkeley), and Harris. My heart wants to just roll with Harris, but my brain says Evans. I'm in-state and a current undergraduate at UW... I feel like it would be a more financially sound decision; however, I feel that I would learn more quant skills at Harris. I feel torn :(

Thank you! I'm interested in public financial management and social policy.

Small update to those of us who are still waiting. I emailed Evans asking about when they expect decisions to be released for the MPA program and they said:

Hello,

Decisions are being sent out this month.

Best Regards,
Evans School Admissions Team

So hopefully they will be released sooner rather than later.

Excellent. Yeah, I emailed a few weeks ago and they said they would send them out all the way from March through April. I was just hopeful that I would get word from them more quickly because some adm decisions came out last week.... sigh. I suppose we'll just have to be patient.

I just saw this but I heard back on the 23rd with the Evan's fellowship! I applied on the 25th of December and I am out of state. I've also heard back some wack results because even though I got into Evan's I got waitlisted UCSD GPS for Public Policy, and I thought i'd have a better shot at UCSD than Evan's.

Congrats - hope that waitlist turns into an acceptance for ya!

I'm declining today -- I'm likely headed to Yale because they're willing to offer me a generous financial package.

Hope this speeds up the process for round 2 and good luck to all of you waiting!
