I am an international applicant, in the Humanities with 2 MAs and a not unfair backup plan for PhD (starting September 2023) from my country. After an internship in one Ivy League University this fall, I liked it and decided to apply to PhD programs in the US. I applied only to 4 top universities (all Ivies), overestimating a bit my chances (but I still have my backup plan for next year).
I have been interviewed by 3 programs and have not heard back from the fourth. My current situation:rejected from one of them, I have been waitlisted by two others(apparently one of the two waitlists moves a lot since the department doesn't over-admit at all, but one never knows), and still waiting (but without any hope, since I did not get an interview) from the fourth.
Do you have an idea of my odds to get in one of those two programs?
Thank you in advance to everyone willing to respond ?
I have posted the question in another section, I hope this is not a problem...
