I received an email yesterday from the head of a department and chair of the admissions committee for the graduate program to which I submitted an application. Aside from him suggesting a time to meet, this is what he said in the email:
"I am grateful for your continuing patience. Our admissions process has taken a bit longer than usual this year, due to the high number of applications we received for a limited number of places. The Admissions Committee was impressed with your application, but they have asked me to meet with you again in order to clarify a few things."
Obviously I was not accepted on my application alone, so that seems worrisome to me. Then again, I wasn't denied admissions either. Appreciate any feedback on this!
