Why is the Columbs Constant(K) is unitless in CGS units?

When I tried to find its unit it came to be 1dyne(cm²⁾ esu^-2 but in my book its shown with no units and furthermore the units of 1 esu is shown to be g^1/2cm^3/2s^-1 which can be derived if I assume K(columns contsant) to be 1 without any unit.

Can someone explain this to me please? Thanks!
