stevebaker Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 (edited) I want to apply for soci gradaute school, but my undergraduate major is not soci and I have no undergraduate credits in soci either . It's so frustrating to find that many sociology grduate programs only offer assitantships to applicants with undergraduate sociology credits. So can my auditing soci courses experience help? The soci professors from my soci courses have agreed to demonstrate my mastery in those courses in rl, so can this help me become eligible to compete for assitantship position? p.s. I have some soci research background, such as publish papers and participating in researches, and my GRE scores are good. Edited August 31, 2010 by stevebaker
captiv8ed Posted September 1, 2010 Posted September 1, 2010 There are people in my dept who didn't have a soc degree and got a TA gig. I have a nontrad background and I am a TA first year.
