pointedears
I am very angry and really panicky and I need to send this email asap. I cannot be polite at this time, that too in a second language. Can someone help me rephrasing this please? Dear whoever, I am writing to you with regard to your earlier mail about my telephonic interview, which was scheduled for 8:30pm IST, earlier tonight. I wanted to inform you that I have still not received a telephone call from ABC. Since it has been close to two hours since the scheduled interview time, could you please tell me the status of my telephonic interview? Also, if my interview will be held tonight itself, could you please arrange for it to be conducted within the next four hours since it is already late evening here in India. Thanking you. Sincerely, Pointed Ears
hopeful grad
I don't think it's rude! It's rude of them to be late!!!
pointedears
I have gone crazy. I was obsessively checking the world clock when I realized that they had infact mentioned the time in IST(Indian Standard Time). Grrr..now I don't even have the 'me calculating it wrong' excuse. lalala1
I agree, I do not think that it is rude at all. It simply states the fact that you have been waiting, and I don't think anyone would expect you to wait all night. It is their mistake and hopefully they will apologize for it! pointedears
Thanks a lot for the opinions. I was about to send it when they called. At 12.30 in the night!!! 4 hours late.
Minnesotan
As much as I dig that "telephonic" rhymes with supersonic, "telephone interview" sounds decidedly less ridiculous. Maybe I'm wrong. I should just go watch a televisionic program and chill out. =)
