For the past few weeks I have been looking for a topic to write about for my 3rd year Linguistics assigment. I have narrowed it down to the following fields: Phonetics/Phonology, Psycholinguistics, Sociolinguistics, Language Acquisition, and Historical Linguistics. I came on here to hear if any of you might have any suggestions for more specific topics I could pursue (perhaps ones you have dealt with prior?). If so, we might be able to suggest the titles of some journals. You could browse through those journals to see what has been published recently in that area, which might jog some ideas for your assignment.
