fivelittlemonkeys
Hey, I hold a MA and am currently in the Phd program in psychology and do not enjoy it. I got not so good grades in my PhD classes due to minimal support from the instructors of the class as well as they were a VERY strict grader (let's just say the whole class did not do well collectively), and the whole program is just pure toxic... Anyway, my career path has changed too so I decided to apply for MSW so I can work frontline. I am wondering if the grades I received from my PhD classes will impact my application (i.e., will the admission committee will look at my PhD grades?)? Thanks! PsyDuck90
When you apply to any program, you need to send transcripts for any programs you’ve attended. So yes, they will see your PhD grades. However, how much they will factor into the decision making process isn’t clear. If they are courses that highly overlap with the MSW curriculum, maybe.
