rodrypsy Posted February 7, 2023 Posted February 7, 2023 Hey all! I am a prospective PhD student in the US (not quite there literally yet but surely plan to ?) coming from Portugal. I wish to apply for at least 6-8 doctoral programs in Psychology (probably in the Clinical or Social/Personality field) in September-December this year for the upcoming Fall start (2024). Considering I will be an international student and that I will probably be applying for multiple universities in a variety of states, it would be great if it were possible to be interviewed online (via MS Teams, Zoom, or any other kind of software). Do you know whether it is the case that there is often the possibility (particularly for an overseas prospective student) for interviews with prospective PhD students in the US to be conducted online? Any help (from international students who are already enrolled in PhD programs in the US or just anyone who knows the answer to my question) is greatly appreciated!
PsyDuck90 Posted February 8, 2023 Posted February 8, 2023 In the wake of the pandemic, most interviews have transitioned to virtual platforms. Whether programs will continue to do so is going to be up to the individual program.
