Traveler1 Posted February 21, 2011 Posted February 21, 2011 I asked UmIchigan heard back from them today they said they haven't notified any applicants to Ford yet. As usual they said to expect to hear from them mid march. I think they have a winter break starting this week.
jph5125 Posted February 21, 2011 Posted February 21, 2011 Has anyone heard back from Indiana SPEA for their MPA program? I know some people have already gotten responses in Jan and before, but I am wondering about people who were told their app would be reviewed starting Feb 1.
Francinator Posted February 21, 2011 Posted February 21, 2011 It's a relief that no one has heard from Humphrey @ U Minnesota! The original deadline given to me for the MDP Dec 15th Deadline was mid-feb. They have now pushed it back to the end of Feb. One more week of waiting:(...... That is if they don't push it back again
Francinator Posted February 22, 2011 Posted February 22, 2011 (edited) My UMN status changed to day to "Graduate School Final Review" is that a good sign? Edited February 22, 2011 by Francinator
hattaba Posted February 22, 2011 Posted February 22, 2011 I haven't heard back from UMD MPP either, When did they start sending out decisions? I see that the Maryland decisions for MPP are out. I haven't heard back from them. Do they send acceptances in batches or is the game over for me as far as Maryland is concerned?!
stompor Posted February 22, 2011 Posted February 22, 2011 My UMN status changed to day to "Graduate School Final Review" is that a good sign? My status also changed to "Graduate School Final Review." From other graduate programs within UMN, it sounds like the grad school does a final review of your materials before officially accepting you... then again, that could just be the optimist in me. Either way, sounds like we'll finally be hearing something.
jb08 Posted February 23, 2011 Posted February 23, 2011 I just heard back from SPEA today even though I was told I was in the mid-January batch. It seems like they are running a little behind. Good luck! Has anyone heard back from Indiana SPEA for their MPA program? I know some people have already gotten responses in Jan and before, but I am wondering about people who were told their app would be reviewed starting Feb 1.

poisondoux Posted February 23, 2011 Posted February 23, 2011 As per GC's result search UMD has been sending out decisions for MPP in batches from the last week of January - both rejects and acceptances. This is the reason I was a little worried. :\ I haven't heard back from UMD MPP either, When did they start sending out decisions?

Diesel2011 Posted February 24, 2011 Posted February 24, 2011 I applied priority for Korbel and I still haven't heard anything. Last week some people posted saying they were already admitted. I think the MDP (Development Practice) Program applicants is the only group that has received a response from Korbel. The school has decided not to accept new applicants to the MDP program for 2011. So, Korbel emailed MDP applicants early to give them the option of choosing another MA program. I read on the blog that everyone else should be notified in early March. Hope that helps!

The website says notifications for the Reynolds (and prob other fellowship applicants) should be out by 8 Mar. My heart beats a little faster each day when I open my e-mail. I'm not very productive at work :-(
poisondoux Posted February 24, 2011 Posted February 24, 2011 I heard from UMD today asking for documents related to Finances and proof of funding etc. "As soon as we receive the necessary documents from you, we will be happy to evaluate your application." I was a little surprised as most universities ask it only after the student has been accepted. The irony here is, I had specified in the form that I cannot attend the program if I do not receive any funding from the university. Any clues on whats going on?
tdpoulos Posted February 24, 2011 Posted February 24, 2011 My status also changed to "Graduate School Final Review." Either way, sounds like we'll finally be hearing something. Mine says the same thing. I hope it's a good omen. Keeping my fingers crossed...

This is what it says on the website: Graduate School Final Review - your program has made its admission decision and University officials are doing a very quick (usually within two business days) final review of your materials before sending out the decision notification. If your status changed 2 days ago, then you should be hearing a decision today or tomorrow.

And he simply said its good news really good news!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I screamed, danced then thanked him:)
Nimesis Posted February 24, 2011 Posted February 24, 2011 Just wanted to let anyone else who applied to USC know that I received notice of acceptance today for the MPP program. No details about funding or any other information. They said a packet would be sent out in a few days.
