Hi there,

I have the luck to have been admitted to both Columbia and NYU for a PhD in Political Science.

I feel that I would correspond to both universities for different reasons.

The job placement of Columbia seems better, but NYU pays when you teach (but does not help with housing while Columbia does). I feel that I can balance all other arguments, and as I am not from the US, I have a minimal idea of how these programs are seen from the outside, especially in academia.

Do you have any idea of the reputation of both programs? Any advice on both these programs outside of reputation are welcome (I heard that strikes happened in Columbia, I don't know how it ended up).

Thank you so much.
