Transfer GPA Question

MrMatt

Question

I went to a small liberal arts college on the east coast and completed 60 credits with a 3.145 GPA. I am now at the University of Michigan and will graduate with a 3.9 after completing 60 credits in 12 months. I was wondering if schools will place more weight on my more recent GPA. I was also wondering if anyone knows of any schools that ask for GPA at the degree granting institution. Obviously, they will want both, but are there any schools where its asked for in the application?

It seems that the University of Michigan explicitly asks for materials only from the degree-granting institution. Are there any others like this?
