Do I need transcripts from schools I took one summer course at?

Hello all,

I'm writing because I just realized that even though these courses are listed on my official transcript from my degree granting school, I technically have attended two other universities for 6 week summer courses. Do I need to send these transcripts along as well or should I simply forward them on a case by case basis and ask each of my six schools individually?

I did a similar program and have found that some schools want the transcripts and some don't. In most cases, schools are pretty good about explicitly stating on their website whether to submit all transcripts where you earned credits, or if you just need transcripts from degree granting institutions.

if those summer classes were counted in for your required # of graduation hours (by transferring those grades into your last school's transcript), then yes, they must be sent. if not, then you have a choice, like the post above says. also, if the grades you got were good, sending them would be a good idea, regardless of the transfer/non-transfer. it is better, however, to send all transcripts nonetheless.

Yes, send them - unless you can find somewhere on the application that says otherwise.

If you don't submit all your transcripts, and they find out about - it can be grounds for dismissing your application or you if you are admitted to the program. I HIGHLY doubt that would happen over summer course transcripts, but I wouldn't risk it either because it can be seen as lacking full disclosure on your history.
