just submitted all my application for fall 2011. All in Public Policy.

GRE: 770 verval, 800 Quantitatives, 3.0 AW (very frustrated about this, but could not do anything now. Wrote an explanation/argument on the unrepresentative score together with other application materials.)

Undergraduate GPA: 3.358 (international politics)

Master QPA: 3.9 (public policy and management from top 20 program in the US)

LOR: all three are my former professors (one is retired US counsil general in lots of Asia countries-Harvard alumni, one graduate college exeutive director, and one former professor in graduate school)

No published work.

very related working experience in focus area. (but only 1-2 years full time)

I am an international student.

applied for harvard, NYU, chicago, duke, GWU and maryland...

got very nervous about the results. I have been working really hard on the preparation when i am full time working and really passionate about the research area. but phd is hard and very selective. I believe everyone is great and has their unique experience. and really worried about my extreme low GRE AW score.

any idea for chances to those programs? thanks!

I can say the same thing I've said to others. Your numbers are competitive, so you'll certainly be in the running. There is no way to know based on just the numbers, as other factors (SOP, LORS, etc.) play a big factor int he process. Good luck.

Ditto. Your info definitely qualifies you, so from here on in it's up to the fates. If it calms you, my completely unsubstantiated gut feeling tells me you will get into at least one of those schools.
