taiwanadian Posted December 20, 2010 Posted December 20, 2010 Hi everyone, I'm applying to the masters program at University of Toronto, and this is their statement of interest requirement: A one-page typed statement of interest indicating research interests and reasons for applying to study Sociology at the University of Toronto is required. I'm wondering if i should focus solely on why i'm applying there.. or if i can give some background information. They don't request a CV submission, so i would really like to put what've i've done on there, and kind of talk about why i'm interested in the field.. but i don't want to seem like i blabber too much before i get to the "point" (ie why i want to go there). Any ideas? Thanks very much everyone!
cadisfly Posted December 20, 2010 Posted December 20, 2010 Even if they don't request a CV, you might want to add it to your application if you think that your prior experiences enhance your candidacy.
rising_star Posted December 24, 2010 Posted December 24, 2010 I would give enough background to explain how and why you arrived at your research interests (in an intellectual sense).
