I have already submitted all my applications and now I am just really freaking out...i'm wondering if I have actually aimed too high and will ended up in the "who does she think she is" category...

here are my basic stats:

international student, undergrad, very top university in China

major: south asia studies (3.70/4)

double major: sociology (3.52/4)

2010 GRE: 660(V) 800(Q) 5.0 (AWA)

languages: Chinese, English, Urdu

one year exchange experience in the US(when I was in high school)+Pakistan (sophomore year college)

one publication on Islamic culture in south asia (just a regular journal, nothing fancy)

Research assistant for three months

no work exprerience

research interest: gender, stratification, comparative sociology

some schools I applied to: Stanford, Princeton, Northwestern, Brown, U Maryland, Rutgers

am I aiming too high? I don't really know how the admission process actually work in the US. Thanks for all your insights in advance!
