foodlover28 Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 I'm applying for the MPP program and I'm all done, ready to submit. But the application check keeps telling me that I need to submit information for TOEFL and GMAT, which is not required for the program and tests that I did not take. Because of this, I can't submit my application because it never takes me to the submit page. Is anyone else having this problem??? I've tried contacting the office but they'll be closed until the 4th, and I'm afraid that I won't get in touch with them on time. Help me please!!!
compost&recycle Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 Hi, I had a similar problem with TOEFL and IELTS. My problem was based on the grounds that I am a foreign national and they require the TOEFL or IELTS from anyone who is not a native English speaker (unlike other schools) Not sure why it wants the GMAT, did you not take the GRE or are you applying for the joint MBA program? I would try calling and e-mailing the office, I am sure they reopen before the deadline. Best of luck!
foodlover28 Posted January 3, 2011 Author Posted January 3, 2011 I went into the application and it turns out it was TOEFL and IELTS for me as well, not GMAT. I'm not a native speaker as well, but I'm a US citizen now and I've been in the US for quite a long time. I'm not applying for the joint program and I have taken my GRE. How did you end up dealing with the TOEFL/IELTS issue? Thank you! Hi, I had a similar problem with TOEFL and IELTS. You obviously don't want to miss the application deadline, and if it's a glitch in their system, you have the right to call.

The office was closed yesterday for the holiday break, but I called this morning. If anyone else is having this problem-- the easiest way is to put English as a native language if you are bilingual. If not, then you can simply put down today's date for the test dates and 1 for all the other blanks.
compost&recycle Posted January 4, 2011 Posted January 4, 2011 I called them and they waived the TOEFL for me since I graduated from an American university and took the GRE. You can also follow foodlover28's advice and enter English as your native language. That should dissolve the problem. Good Luck!
