In September, I will begin the MAPSS program with a concentration in political science. I have read various criticisms of the program on Internet forums, but I still believe it makes sense for my goals (I want to get into a top PhD program and I definitely do not yet have the background for that).

I am writing this post to ask for tips on advisors who are more receptive to students in the program. I have read that many professors dismiss master's students, so I would like to avoid doing my thesis with a faculty member who is like that.

Thank you very much.
