Heard back from Berkeley and JHU for interviews, didnt apply to the others

Brown had a joint interview day for all their PhD programs yesterday (1/21/25) so unfortunately if you weren't invited to that I think it's a de facto rejection. I wasn't invited and feeling slightly grumpy about it as a Brown MPH alumni lol

I had 4 interviews this past week and the main advice I have is to show your enthusiasm! Make sure they can see why you are excited about their program!! Ask good questions, you are assessing them as much as they are assessing you! I'd also have a list of prepared answers to common questions like "tell us a bit about yourself" or "why public health"! Finally, i know its really hard but try to be as relaxed as possible. They already really really like your application, so they are just checking that you can talk clearly and you fit the vibe of the department. Be yourself !!! And good luck. Congratulations to you too! And thank you for the advice, I’ll be sure to implement them in my interviews. I don’t think I’ll have a problem with enthusiasm, if I just channel the weeks I spent working on my statement of purpose lol, but the relaxed part is a bit hard. catchthatbluestar Posted January 27 Posted January 27 I'm still waiting on Johns Hopkins (Pop, Family and Repro), Univ of Maryland (Behavioral and Community Health), UNC Chapel Hill (Health Behavior) and Penn State (Nutrition). I haven't heard anything AT ALL but have seen that people have been interviewed or rejected from a couple of these programs. Anyone? Is anyone here in Nutrition or just me?
