Nothing yet and getting worried since the acceptions went out around 3/15 last year from what I could find.

Yeah, I've been wondering if acceptances already went out based on previous years' timelines - but it's entirely possible they haven't notified anyone yet! I imagine we will hear one way or another next week.

Does everyone have an idea of where they’re likely to end up? I plan on accepting the Emory Public Health Preparedness and Response offer.

I'm going to GW!

Going to GW, too! :) Congrats to everyone and their decisions. It's bold to stick with public health. Says a lot about character, I think. Goodness and good luck to all of you.

Has anyone heard from UNMC yet? I applied to their preparedness concentration and I am still waiting. Made it past the final review.

Also, waiting for Kentucky. Got an email that they can't accept anyone yet and will have more information in April. so maybe there is hope? There wasn't a rejection.

For those of you who have accepted offers how are you planning to pay for the degree?

With my wages and a bit of creative accounting with my institution (nothing untoward). 😕

It's going to be a tight squeeze especially with a mortgage and kids.

Hopefully, I'll get a fellowship or something the second year. I'm looking at a couple of fellowship opportunities, but they require the applicants to be in their doctorate programs already.

I’m with you minus any employer help. Mortgage plus kids = potentially taking the least expensive option I have even if it might not be the top choice otherwise. Unfortunately I work for a university that doesn’t offer DrPH, so any benefits they have are just for tuition at their own institution and nothing for classes elsewhere.
Are the fellowships ones with the school you’ll be attending specifically or more general ones?

I also work for a university that does not have a DrPH and tuition remission is for them only. There is one loophole that needs to go allllll the wayyyyy to the Provost for approval, but I'll try it out and see if there's any success in it. It's not tuition remission, but it might save me some taxes, legally. There's an AEA evaluation fellowship I'm looking at. There are also a few others that I can't remember. They are not through the program I'm going to.

Haven't heard anything from UNMC either. Applied to the Advocacy and Leadership concentration. Programs having decision dates in April are really difficult to consider...even if I'm admitted, I will have likely made my decision by then.

Hey, friends! I attended the admit session tonight for GW. It was truly inspiring to me (I'm not inspired so easily). The messaging from GW on the importance, at this time, of public health and public health leadership was moving. To paraphrase, anyone can sail a ship on calm waters, but it takes leadership to navigate a storm. I think that being forged during hard times makes for resilient public health practitioners.

Good luck, and take good care of yourselves.

Good morning everyone! Just an FYI, I emailed the Bloomberg Fellowship people and they said the decisions would be coming out "in the coming days." Not particularly helpful but just lets me know they haven't bypassed us yet!

Hi all,  I just got a rejection email for the Bloomberg Fellowship. Hopefully others get better news...and at least I found out today and not on my birthday (tomorrow).

Saw someone on Reddit post that they got on the Bloomberg Scholarship waiting list on 3/18

I also got a rejection for the Bloomberg Fellowship - sorry to hear you did as well, @JennaL. Now I have to figure out how/if I can swing the tuition. Hopefully you still have a good birthday and can celebrate the amazing accomplishment that is getting accepted into these programs! :)

Sorry you didn't get it either.  I'm looking at a bunch of smaller scholarships on bold.org.  There's a few similar sites with smaller scholarships.  If you get enough of them, it could help enough!  And I am having a good birthday enjoying getting in at least!

Almost scared to ask but has anyone heard of any decisions (other than prelim review) coming out from UNMC? I saw posts from last year with offers being made mid-March

Still waiting here. I spoke with them earlier in the year, and they said mid-February. At the beginning of March they said at the very latest decisions will be sent out by April 15th

The mid-Feb was for preliminary review. I'm just hoping it's not like last year where they sent acceptances in March and sat on rejections til the April deadline :(

Has anyone else here been accepted into Tulane’s program and have financial aid options from them?

I was accepted, but wasn't offered any financial aid.
