  1. Thanks, beauties! I'll be applying again next cycle. Lick the wounds, cry the tears, figure out what needs changing, keep the dream alive. If anyone has any wisdom on acceptance into programs they care to share, I'm here for it.
  2. Just received my rejection to Tulane. 4 out of 4 rejections. As my DrPH cycle comes to a close, I sincerely wish all of you the utmost success and joy in your academic endeavors. May you be blessed with the continued ability to protect and promote the public's health and wellbeing in your work.
  3. I'm glad you have other options, BZG! Makes these losses easy to cut. Thanks for the generosity of your update. I'm sorry, ARPH! I hope the next news is the news you need. Good luck and thank you for posting.
  4. Oh man. Same. Thank you for doing that legwork. I appreciate you, mandycandy. Very, very best of luck to all.
  5. I found it! (I think) https://applygrad.tulane.edu/apply/ You need to create an account, but your SOPHAS application should be visible there. My status is listed as "Submitted"
  6. Congratulations!!!!!! That's very exciting especially to have the tenacity to apply again and go from waitlisted to accepted. Awesome! I didn't know there was a portal. Did the email come with a link?
  7. I know, right? Anyone know what their rollout plan is?
  8. I keep meaning to thank ya'll who are posting results. I think it really helps future years get a sense of when to expect decisions. It's a kindness that goes a long way. This year's group of applicants have been endlessly generous in allowing other humans in on their experiences. Thank you.
  9. Alright. Welp. Tulane must be coming soon, no? Anyone want to give an update? I also was told early March, and here we are.
  10. I feel the same way. Thank you, PublicHealthSLP. It's a beautiful group of humans. And I appreciate the generosity and kindness especially in sharing results and experiences and tips and tricks. Much love and peace to ya'll.
  11. Thank you for your application to the Doctor of Public Health (DrPH) program at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. After careful consideration of your application and supporting credentials, the Admissions Committee regrets to inform you that it is unable to offer you admission to our program for Summer (June) 2024. Each year we receive far more applications than we can accept for a limited number of slots. We appreciate your interest in the Doctor of Public Health (DrPH) and we wish you success in your future endeavors. Was also prepared. Did my grief processing mostly yesterday. Many happy returns to those of you who got in! I'm delighted for you, truly.
  12. I cried a bunch. My husband ordered takeout for solace. I'll try again next year.
  13. I agree with you re: bad news. I'm just surprised, I guess. I thought I was a really good fit both in my experience and my career vision. Alas. I wonder if it's possible to know what would make a stronger candidate.
  14. Well, solidarity to ya'll. Keep the faith that whatever happens, it's the right thing.
  15. Oh man. Now I'm super anxious. Mine says "still under review," too.
  16. NOT YET! (My caps lock was on accidentally, but I kept it because it felt right.) Good luck, comrades! Spa it up. I did that Friday.
  17. Hey! Has anyone reached out to Hopkins to ask about decisions dates? I just went off of previous years with the March 1st, but I realized I never checked in with anyone in admissions. So I was wondering if ya'll had done so.
  18. Thank you so much. I feel it. Took 2 Benadryl just to ensure I didn't lay awake all night. Peace to all.
  19. That's awesome. I'm truly delighted for you. That program was the one I was most joyous in pondering my fit there. I may apply again. I hope someone sees this post and reaches out. If you scroll back, you can find the people who were waitlisted. Might be worth reaching out to them to see if they've received a final decision. Would it be ok with you if I sent you a DM? I'd love to hear about your interview experience because I think that's the area I fell short. Just a hunch.
  20. There was definitely someone who registered an acceptance a couple of weeks ago. A couple people on here have said they are waitlisted, and several of us (myself included) were rejected. How about you?
  21. Dang! What a thing to wait the weekend. I was not prepared for this.
  22. Ok, JHU DrPH peeps. Sleep tight, and I wish you the best on tomorrow's possible decisions. Much love and good will to ya'll.
  23. Haha. Agreed. Also, it seems to me that JHU released acceptances on March 1st and March 2nd. Is that what others think? I'm just wondering because March 1st is a Friday. Anyway, none of it really matters being out of my control, but it's nice to have clear expectations.
