  1. JHU DrPH people: How are you feeling going into the week. They generally release results March 1st, yes?
  2. Hey! What do you think you did differently this time around? I'm impressed that you've made it further this time (hopefully all the way!) I'm waiting on two other programs, but I keep coming back to this program. I'm debating whether or not to try again next year. I'd love to hear your thoughts.
  3. Yes! You need to clear your cache. If you can use a different browser (i.e. Chrome or Safari), try that. Also, try someone else's computer or your work computer, etc.
  4. Oh my gosh! Well, that's something, right? Fingers crossed.
  5. Oh, lovelies. I'm so sorry. I hope you wind up exactly where you are destined to be.
  6. Received my rejection from Harvard DrPH. Email notification to check the portal. I feel sad, but I know it is super competitive. That program was the one I was most energized by. I thought the fit was fantastic. Alas. On the other hand, I wish the very very best to those of you who were accepted. I hope you have an outstanding experience! On to the next.
  7. I love this take. I have felt and said to my friends and loved ones many times through this process: No matter how good the resume and essays and references and interviews, the stars do need to align. It's just that competitive.
  8. If I were to hazard a guess, I'd say it's such a small number of people they accept. So they release the ones they definitely want to make offers to, give those people time to consider and respond, then put out the next group of offers based on the acceptances. I'd guess they have a ranked list. What I don't quite understand is why they don't just put out their rejections of people they know they won't admit first. Other programs do this. If it's just a 100% no for whatever reason, send the rejection, and put people out of their misery. If we have to suffer, at least we suffer together.
  9. https://www.thegradcafe.com/survey/?per_page=20&q=drph&institution=&program=&degree= Go all the way to the top of the page where we are posting. Then look for THE GRADCAFE. Underneath, there is a Results section.
  10. Looks like someone posted a DrPH acceptance in the Results section for Harvard. Congratulations to them and to those of you who have heard good news!
  11. I’m so sorry. It’s particularly rough when you feel aligned and giving with a program. This process is brutal. The build up. The pouring oneself into it all. The wait. The results.
  12. Try the link in another browser or clearing your cache. I moved the link from Chrome to Safari, and it resolved the glitch. I didn't want to clear my cache because I rely on it for my saved passwords. For a minute there, I really thought it meant that our letters were waiting in the wings and causing the glitch, no joke.
  13. Thanks for doing the amazing work of calling admissions! A true hero. I interviewed with faculty members. I think (maybe) they are on the admissions committee. But definitely faculty. I’d say I got some standard questions, but they weren’t clarifications. They were more in depth about my goals and aspirations. I’m stoked that you already have another admissions offer! I have one rejection so far. Waiting on three programs, but for various reasons, this one is standing out much more than the others. Much love and luck to all. Not sure my tender heart can take the wait through March.
  14. Hey! I can't remember everyone who applied to Harvard DrPH, but please feel free to weigh in. Anyone heard back yet? I'm having trouble focusing. Anyone else experiencing this brain fog as a result of the waiting?
  15. I’m talking about the DrPH. I think that the Harvard Key is the admissions portal for that program. There’s an Admissions Decision Letter box at the top left corner. Any other DrPH applicants know? (I could be missing something.)
  16. Dang it. I was hoping it was happening to everyone. That would give me weird comfort. Now I just don’t know what’s going on. Haha. Ah well. We shall see, in due course.
  17. People who applied to Harvard and have a Harvard Key/portal account: Is anyone else's portal glitching like wild? Mine has an error message in the the Admissions Decision Letter box, and the whole page has been flickering and reloading the entire day . . . Trying not to read into it . . .
  18. I spoke with DrPH admissions at Tulane, and I was told decisions would be ready early March. I think it’s so wild how admissions departments have non-standard responses to these questions. Cracks me up.
  19. That’s amazing!!!!! I’m so excited for you. I hope you looked that ugly cry face in the mirror and told it how lovely it was.
  20. Re: interview . . . Totally! That’s my understanding, too. Re: PH experience . . . That’s part of what makes public health awesome. The non-traditional pathways, different kinds of backgrounds, minds that are dissimilar. I’m glad you’re applying.
  21. Oh my gosh. Right? Did you interview? I think you’re the first person I’ve come across applying to this track. Apparently, it’s the largest and most popular.
  22. Based on previous years, looks like we could hear any day now. I wish you both peace amidst the wait.
  23. First notification from a program: Rejected from BU DrPH I thought that would be the case because I was not interviewed. It was also the program I was least interested in, so that's not such a bad thing. Good luck to everyone! And congratulations to those of you who are accepted!
  24. I’ve been contemplating this idea a lot. Thanks for putting it into words. May the most nurturing path unfold for us all.
