StatsOR
Hello, I received a 168 Q, 166 V GRE. Considering that a 168Q is now only 83rd percentile, I was wondering whether I should submit it to PhD programs in stats/biostats which list it as optional. I'm an undergrad from a top 50 school, have a 4.0(including an A in graduate measure theory) and am a math major so I don't think my math background aside from this would really be doubted. I'm also not sure if schools are taking the GRE very seriously this year because the only way to achieve >90 percentile score is to get a perfect 170Q gre. bayessays
I'd probably submit it. Both your scores are good, so I think it can only help. But yeah, probably not going to be a game-changer given your already-great math background. I don't think anybody is going to look down on a 168Q even if the percentiles have changed.
