Mellon/ACLS Dissertation Innovation Fellowship 2024-2025 Application

Hi all! As a new Ph.D. candidate, I applied for a few dissertation fellowships. I thought I'd open a few threads for those who want to commiserate now that the deadlines have passed. Anyone apply for Mellon/ACLS this year?

hey there, I did! their website says they'll only start sending out notifications by early April, so I guess all that's left is waiting 😮‍💨

Glad to have someone else in the thread 😄 Yes - it looks like there's definitely going to be some time before we start hearing back from them (either positively or negatively).

I haven't heard anything personally, but it looks like some people received acceptance letters beginning on March 18th on the Academic Jobs Wiki. It's possible we're on a  waitlist, but I think most likely we would have heard by now if we received an outright acceptance.

Yeah... this was the last fellowship application that I was waiting for, so I was hoping for the best. Might be a shut-out year for me unfortunately 😅
