Hello! I was trying to find a forum for Clinical Psychology programs in Canada but couldn't find one so I made one.

This year I applied to clinical psych at

-uOttawa

-TMU

-Queen's

Last year for uOttawa I was invited to an interview with my PI early Feb and was waitlisted late Feb. I assume it will be similar this year.

Howdy. Waiting to hear back from the schools I applied to as well. This is my second time applying for clinical psych programs but my list changed since last season. Currently waiting on any news from:

  • UBC Vancouver
  • UBC Okanagan
  • UofToronto Scarborough
  • Queen's
  • York
  • Simon Fraser

Best of luck everyone!

Hi everyone! I personally haven’t heard from any school but I’ve been seeing people say they got prelim interviews from UNB, Waterloo, UBC Van and OISE clinical programs.

I applied to: UBC, Waterloo, Western, Guelph and Calgary.

Best of luck!

Hi! Where did you see the prelim interviews for these schools?

Reddit - grad admissions subreddit and discord - health service psych PhD applicant hub. Some random grad cafe threads. Very nice communities!

I applied to uOttawa, McGill, Concordia, and UdeM.

I received an interview invite from McGill for this week (seems to be informal with the PI), and from Concordia for next week (one interview with PI and the lab, one group interview run by the program).

If anyone knows how the McGill process works that would be great to know - are there formal interviews?

Thanks :)

What was the PI initials for McGill? I just did an informal and it seems as if there’s an online full-day interview with various faculty and your PI.

I received an official invite from Western and UTSC! If anyone has any experience with formal interviews and what to expect (esp. UTSC!) I'd love to hear it. ☺️

Congrats! Would you be able to share the initials of the PI for western? 🙂

Are you sure it is online? The PI I prelimed mentioned it was a full-day and gaves dates, but didn't mention it being online. I guess it makes sense given that many candidates are international, but I wonder if there is the option to do it in-person
