I received an official invite from Western and UTSC! If anyone has any experience with formal interviews and what to expect (esp. UTSC!) I'd love to hear it. ☺️

Hey! If you are comfortable with it, could you PM me the PI initials as well? Thank you!

If you dont mind  sharing PI initials for Western, I would really appreciate it and congrats on two interviews!

I applied to Simon Fraser University and UBC....received an SFU interview invite on January 10 with various faculty, haven't heard back from UBC. I just wanted to share that I applied last year (4.17 GPA, multiple publications) and didn't get any interview offers. It was really discouraging, and mostly just very stressful waiting until March just to get a rejection email. Last year I got really wrapped up in checking my email 20x a day and checking grad cafe multiple times a day. It was kind of pointless. I've had friends not get in to clinical and move on with their lives, and friends get into their dream program, and at the end of the day, both of them are at the same happiness level. Actually I would say the friend who didn't get in is happier now than the one who did get in! So I just wanted to encourage anyone who's struggling with the waiting and 'what ifs' that your life is not clinical psychology or grad school, even if right now it feels like it is.

Has anyone heard from Guelph?

I personally haven’t, apparently someone got a prelim invite on the 14th. This was found on the accepted forum. Only post I’ve seen regarding Guelph, no clue on PI. Hoping it’s a rolling basis!

In another post on grad cafe, one person said they've heard from their PI (MP) for a prelim interview invite. I also applied to MP but did not receive an invitation... :(

Hi! Was this with Lakehead or Ottawa? If it was Lakehead, can you please pm me the PIs initials if you’re comfortable 🙂

Just an update about UWaterloo: I just checked the applicant portal and I've been rejected for the Clinical Psych program. Just sharing in case anyone out there applied and is looking for updates. Wishing you all better luck!!
