2025-26 Getty Graduate Internship Interviews

Did anyone apply for the 2025-26 Getty graduate internship program? If so, have you heard back? Or if you've done it previously, when did you get a response? Anxiously waiting to find out if I got to the interview stage.

If this is for the Getty in LA, it might be a while for you to hear since they're battling a fire right now. The Getty is in direct line of the fire.

Hopefully, everyone at the Getty is safe, and the situation is under control now—the fires occurred a while after I initially posted my question!

Same here—I haven’t heard back yet either. I noticed that in past years, applicants who got interviews were contacted by mid-January, but I guess the timeline might be a bit off this year, especially with the fires. Fingers crossed we hear something soon!

The word on the street is that the application process is very competitive! From checking out LinkedIn profiles, many of the interns seem to be in their late 20s/early 30s, particularly for the internships I’m interested in. As an MA student and not a PhD, I do feel a bit young and not too hopeful. But if I hear anything, I’ll definitely share—for this year’s applicants and future ones!

Yeah, same here. I'm also a master's student. But it seems like they might value our experience and skills too. After all, PhD students usually have more experience than us.

Still no news from the Getty on my end. I know the Brentwood site is only reopening on the 28th January, but honestly, it’s starting to feel like it’s not the fires holding things up—it might just be me not making the cut!

Don't worry! My friend and I both sent our applications, but we haven't heard back yet. I'm thinking of emailing Getty tomorrow to check on the progress. 🥺

I had my interview on December 19th with the MCE: Science group. The head of the group was on leave in January. So they conducted the interview early. That's what they said. I applied for another position as well and waiting for the interview.
