Congrats to you! Yeah for some school's religious studies program, classes are very small with maybe an additional 1 or 2 students each year, and obviously if the school is named, we know who they are. haha.

Congrats on the invitations so far. I am curious if the invitation came from an individual or if it came from a more generic admissions email? i.e. trying to assess how worried to be about it getting lost or sent to spam if it does come. Best of luck to you!

Hi everyone, I can finally access the comment box! (I joined GradCafe a few days ago, but it was strange—there was no comment box. Fortunately, I’ve now fixed the issue!)

I received an invitation email on January 31st and had my interview last Friday (2/7).

That’s awesome! Congratulations! Are you OK sharing how it went/any tips? Was it fairly relaxed?

Just curious to know when did you receive the 'application complete' email before you received the interview invitation?

sooo jealous of everyone getting interviews. Not feeling optimistic the more time passes. I wonder how many applicants they had this year

the recommendation letters can be used for 3 years. Are you applying for the first time?

I am sorry for the late response. I received the 'application complete' email on January 15th. What about you? When did you receive the email?

This was my first interview, so I didn’t have any point of comparison. I’m not sure how I did, but I did my best to answer the questions. The atmosphere felt structured, and time passed quickly, making it difficult to assess my performance. Just my idea. 🤔

Hi guys, I finished my interview. Questions were unpredicted, so be prepared to improvise. But it’s possible that it was just my case. I can't assess the process either. Best of luck to all of you!

Thanks for sharing. Unpredicted means sharp་ difficult questions? Just curious, were the questions revolving around current situation, motivation, compatible match and future prospects?

Not difficult, but might be the ones you've never expected to be asked.

Hi all, I did an interview also and can’t say exactly how it went but know some are curious. Here’s some general tips:

Key Advice:

  • Prep as you would for any interview & review your app materials
  • Relax - it really is just 15 mins & thinking clearly is key so you can be present and answer thoughtfully.
  • Have questions ready for your interviewer at the end. This is for you AND them. If you need more info on something or have a concern, just ask (& maybe practice asking so you do not forget to in the moment).
  • There’s another “prepping for what’s next” call on Feb. 26 so def attend that if possible as the grad assistants chat abt the interview process too. They also have blog posts.
  • If you’ve made it this far, they are interested. Be confident. Good luck!
