ThM Missiology/Intercultural Studies

Hey folks,

I am finishing up a MDiv and am applying to seminaries for a ThM in Missiology. I feel called to serve overseas and want to 1) gain a solid foundation of missiological concepts and 2) prepare myself for potential doctoral studies in the field.

I have been accepted to Gordon-Conwell, but I am wondering if you all might suggest some other programs in this field.

As an aside, Fuller would probably be my first choice, but they require three years of cross-cultural work before matriculating into the ThM program, something which I don't have.

Trinity Evangelical Divinity School (TEDS) offers a ThM in Missions and Evangelism, and a PhD in Intercultural Studies.

Wycliffe College at the University of Toronto has a new MTS in development. They also offer a ThM.

I would say check out Boston University's STM program. BU could also be a good "fit" for doctoral work either ThD or PhD with the Center for Global Christianity and Mission.

I just finished my MDiv there and know some folks doing doctoral work in missiology. Let me know if you care to be in conversation with them.
