recruitment days = interview???? confused

So far gotten one invitation to recruitment days at Cornell Weill, is this pretty much an interview or is it a done deal?

I am referred as a "top candidate" in the invitation letter

Still waiting on other 5 schoos: columbia, NYU, mt sinai, rockefeller and albert einstein

A recruitment weekend is generally for the school to try to recruit you. They use recruitment weekends to impress applicants so that they decide to come to that particular school rather than choose another. So odds are you're going to be admitted unless things are dramatically different in your field. Are they reimbursing your travel? - if so I'd say that was further proof that they want you.
