How are we all feeling about tomorrow? A friend of mine who applied for NSERC CGS-D got a decision today which was surprising because it is quite early

Did all NSERC CGS-D applicants get their results already ? I didn't realize they happened on different days (I'm SSHRC). I just thought all CGS-D would be on April 30

I applied NSERC CGS-D as well and did not receive an email. I guess results will be released on a rolling basis

Unfortunately, I didn't get it—NSERC here.

Congrats for those who got it and good luck for the others.

For those who were successful, would you mind sharing your final average?

It would really help to get a sense of what kind of grades are considered competitive.

Unfortunatelly I did not get it. Congratulations to all who did!

My scoring for NSERC:

1. Academic Excellence: 6.65

2. Research Potential: 5.26

3. Leadership: 5.74

Overall Average score: 5.88

Your application was ranked 76 out of 190 reviewed by the NSERC Vanier CGS selection committee.

@phdeeing Congrats! Did you accept the offer yet? Do you just do the process on ResearchNet, print the generated form, and send it via email to the address on the form? Just want to make sure I'm doing it properly before i decline the CGS-D offer

Hi! So I submitted the response to the offer on ResearchNet, which I believe is sufficient. However, I also sent the form via email to the address at the bottom of the form. I am currently delaying declining the CGS-D offer until Vanier is like 100% confirmed, or at least I hear something from my institution.

Cool did you hear back from Vanier after you emailed them or just the auto reply? My uni said that they should give us a "confirmation of commencement" form after we email them the offer form, and an AFF after we send back the confirmation of commencement form.

I'm also waiting to get the confirmation of commencement before I decline the CGS-D.

Yes, I did hear back from an actual person. They stated I would receive the commencement form within three days, but I actually received it about an hour ago and have since submitted it back to them.

Probably a few hours prior to that. Not immediately after announcement, but a few hours after.
