SOP critique, please?

I'd like to get another pair of eyes on my personal statement and would be appreciative of any help! I'm applying to taught MA's for Medieval Studies, and the statement's brief - many of the universities I'm considering ask specifically for somewhere around 500 words. I'm afraid of being too vague.
