I have already taken the IELTS (Reading:9, Listening:8,Writing: 7 and Speaking 7) and GRE (1330/1600) i took my GRE right after graduation in 2010. Hello, I have to write a statement of objectives for my graduate program that should answer the following questions: How you think about the world and your professional objectives The issues or problems you want to address during your studies at the program and the setting in which you eventually see yourself working professionally How your previous studies and work experience (if any) relates to what you propose to do at the Institute Why you are applying to the Institute and the specific program Other matters you think are important for us to know I have written a draft. The whole SOP is too generic...I cannot see you, it can be written by anyone. What makes you unique? I will just give one example you write: "I am also working on aproject in a company that is helping me in gaining practical knowledge. Thishas been invaluable experience for me since I am learning the serviceabilityand functionality of various real world applications. Here I am getting theknowledge of the actual usage of various computer technologies in a real worldapplication." what project? what exactly are you doing? why is it helping you? the adcomm wants details look over your entire SOP that way and change it

Hi, I just wanted to know that I graduated in 2008. Since then I have been working full time in control engineering. Now I am applying to two different graduate schools. In one I am applying for Solid State Electronics, the other control engineering. Now I have to have three letters from recommendation. i think a recommendation letter from my boss would be good for the control engineering program, right? but what about the Solid State Electronics since the job I am doing is not much related to Solid State Electronics so should I include a letter from my boss in this one too or not? or should i get recommendations from professors only and employers recommendations do not count at all? Please advise!
