Should I mention ranking of my university in the SOP? Since I attended the top most engineering university of my country (Pakistan) but I don’t think the adcomm is going to know which is the top most engineering university of Pakistan What if I don’t want to pursue research after graduate school but wish to join the industry? Should l mention that or are professors looking for potential research candidates only?

I have aligned my CV for graduate school using these headings in the following order: 1. Education 2. Honours(mentioning my undergraduate and school achievements) 3. Work Experience 4. Teaching Experience 5. Internship 6. Professional Projects 7. Undergraduate Projects 8. Seminars 9. Related Courses 10. Technical Skills 11. Extra Curricular Activities Is it ok or should I change anything?

I have two questions: 1) Is there any specific convention we should follow while formatting the SOP? What is the ideal font size? Space between paragraphs etc? 2) I have a two page CV that I use to apply to jobs. While submitting my CV for graduate schools should I make a new CV which highlights my undergraduate projects more rather than my professional experience? Thanks!

Hello, I have completed my SOP but I am still unsure about a few things: For one, I haven’t mentioned that with which professor I would like to work and why. I have mentioned the research I would like to pursue and what I would like to do but I haven’t specifically named any professor because I read somewhere that there is no need to get specific because what if that professor is leaving etc etc Also, I have almost two years of professional experience and no teaching experience, is it a bad thing or a good thing? Also it would be really helpful if anyone would be willing to go over my SOP and give suggestions as I don’t have anyone around me to help me out with the critique Regards
