If you’re studying CCEA GCSEs, I think the first thing to do is get familiar with the exact specification for your subject. CCEA qualifications can have different assessment structures from the GCSEs offered by boards such as AQA, OCR and Pearson, so using the correct past papers and revision materials is important.

I’d recommend starting with the topics you find hardest, then doing topic-based questions before moving on to complete past papers. When checking your answers, pay attention to the mark scheme and keep track of the mistakes you repeatedly make.

Another thing that can help is getting personalised support if you’re struggling with a particular subject. Studyhours offers online CCEA GCSE tutoring, where students can get help with their subject content, difficult topics and exam preparation.

For me, the biggest thing is not just doing lots of questions, but actually understanding why you lost marks and working on those areas before the next paper.
