Tip for qualitative interviews and lecture notes: record with consent, then transcribe on your phone right after, while the context is fresh, and skim the transcript for key quotes/themes the same day. It saves hours of re-listening. Does anyone else here use on-device tools to keep recordings private (IRB-friendly)?

Disclosure: I make Risenote, an iPhone app that transcribes on-device, so audio stays on your phone. You can paste the text straight into your notes. It's free on the App Store: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/risenote-ai-meeting-notes/id6756504124
