Hi! I am from HK and new to this forum

Recently I got the PhD offer from Emory in Biostatistics. It is my first offer!

But I asked my professor about the information, he told me Emory is not strong in academia. While it is said the working opportunity is good as it is near CDC.(But I do not know whether international student will enjoy the same privilege)

As I am outside of US and do not quite know the real situation in the US. Anyone could give me any insight about this university?

Emory is one of the BEST schools in Medicine and Public Health in the US. Biostats tends to fall under public health, so you are fine. Plus its a hot field anyways. You will find a job.
