Alex_ Posted February 14, 2011 Posted February 14, 2011 Hi, I had received the Master of Science admission of Carnegie Mellon Silicon Valley Campus(Software Engineering) and Brown University(Computer Science). I feel really hard to make a choice between them because CMU-SV has a high reputation in CS and SE, and the Silicon Valley is a wonderful place full of job opportunity, meanwhile, Brown has a good CS Education, it has a lot of great course, and it's Ivy League. CMU-SV is 1 year program, it's a professional master, project oriented. while Brown is 1 and a half. I am an international student from Asia, and undergrad major is Software Engineering. Can anybody give me some advices? Is 1 year enough for me to find a job in U.S.?
nobody2008 Posted February 23, 2011 Posted February 23, 2011 If I wanted to go into industry after my Masters, I would go for CMU as it has a great reputation which implies you have a great chance of landing a good job.
