Guest bubuli Posted February 19, 2011 Posted February 19, 2011 After meeting with professors or program directors in person, did you send them thank you emails? Just curious... I wonder if it would be a flaw or bad impact to my application if I forgot to send a thank you email...
starmaker Posted February 19, 2011 Posted February 19, 2011 I don't know if this is the standard or not (interviews aren't particularly common in my field), but it's a good idea. I'm interviewing for non-academic jobs right now, and it is considered good practice in that arena to send thank-yous to your interviewers. If you forgot to send one at first, send one now - apologize for the delay and increase the level of appreciation that you express. This is a case where late is better than never, as long as it's before decisions are made.
