What government scholarship are you referring to? That's great that you got almost full funding! Are you planning to attend?

the government scholarship is from ministry of education in my country, Taiwan(R.O.C).

I'm still waiting for NYU/UCLA/JHU results, if rejected by them (probably >.<), I would attend SD.

I'm almost positive I'll be at UCSD. I was rejected from a couple of schools and wait-listed at UCSF. I have heard really good things about the faculty at UCSD and I've spoken with a professor at the university. He was very reassuring and told me that he has not heard of a situation where a graduate student did not receive some kind of support while in graduate school. I think it's a great school and I already live in San Diego, and am a California resident, so my tuition will be greatly reduced already. Plus I don't have to worry about housing. Best of luck to you!
