rdunn981 Posted February 22, 2011 Posted February 22, 2011 I have a large interest in biology and anthropology, I was wondering if anyone knows any fields besides forensic anthropology where both fields come into play?
singlecell Posted February 22, 2011 Posted February 22, 2011 off the top of my head, human genetics or evolutionary biology. Degree in genetics and going to work for a paleoanthropologist might be fun, sequencing neanderthal DNA... or work on something like the National Geographic Genographic project https://genographic.nationalgeographic.com/genographic/index.html.
riceandbeans Posted February 23, 2011 Posted February 23, 2011 Well, there's this whole sub-field of anthropology called biological anthropology... But, seriously: human genetics, human evolution, ancient dna analysis, morphology, primate stuff (ecology, conservation, development, cognition), paleobotany, etc. I'm definitely missing some stuff.
Lady Anthro Posted November 7, 2013 Posted November 7, 2013 Bio-archaeology, paleopathology, like others said that whole sub-field of biological anthropology. You could even go into medical anthropology, and consult with medical / biological labs, facilities, etc.
cusanimodel Posted November 20, 2013 Posted November 20, 2013 Maybe you have know what type of work fit you.
